I really have been out of touch lately. Last night Microsoft released the second new custom watch face and the first new channel - Sports.

The new watch face is called "Quarter" and features an interesting round analog display. So far none of the three active watches in our household have received the face. I went into the MSN Direct site and made sure I had the watch face updates turned on, but still no luck, so let's see.

The Sports channel is now featuring basketball - men's and women's pro and college leagues. I add my local Philadelphia 76ers to see what it will look like. For some reason it also tried to add the LA Lakers, and I had to take them off. No offence, guys. Major league baseball seems to be the next sport to be added, supposedly sometime in April.

Staying true to their great policy of communicating with the public a lot, the SPOT team explained the delay of the new content by saying that they were focusing on delivering a quality new channel, and the new watch face just bundled into the process. In the future, new watch faces should be available on a more regular basis.
