Moni's Musings

Success, and the .Mac iDisk utility works on a PC!

Yesterday, I was able to download the iDisk utility for Microsoft Office XP, and once opening the utility, was able to mount my iDisk. At first, I expected to see my iDisk on the desktop, but then I realized that that would be a very Mac thing to do. So, I opened my Word, and upon going into my Open folder, was able to choose my iDisk as a drive. I then could browse my iDisk and see all of my folders.

The first thing that I did was open up my R/T/T assignment and print it out. I am finding numerous ways to use this as the the days go by. For example, I found an article that I wanted to read more in detail later, and instead of printing it out, or e-mailing it to myself, I saved it to my iDisk so I could read it on the couch at home.

I'm excited about learning more about using my iDisk, more specifically, how to perform scheduled backups of my Mac, since I seem to have bad luck with memory sometimes.
